How do you fix a cracked glass window?

There are a number of ways you can temporarily fix a crack in a glass window. The easiest fix is to place a strong layer of tape over either side to prevent water from seeping through. Additionally, you can clean out the crack using water from a dropper or other tool. Next, you can seal the one side of the window with tape and use adhesive to fill the crack on the other side.

Keep in mind these are only temporary fixes, meant to preserve the integrity of the window until you can consult with a residential glass repair professional. Never let a cracked window go ignored for a long period of time.

Despite what you may have heard, there is no such thing as a window that is designed to last forever. Most windows will need to be replaced every 15 to 25 years. This is often addressed in warranties, intended to last the duration of the product’s lifetime.

A semi-frameless shower enclosure incorporates features of both the fully-framed and frameless designs. The shower panels are typically framed in metal, while the door is attached only by the hinges, giving it a frameless feel.

Glass shower doors can be kept clean relatively easily using a solution of water and vinegar or other specialized cleaning solution. Simply spray your solution of choice onto the glass surface, let it sit, and remove the cleaning solution using a non-abrasive wipe.

New windows can be considered a good investment of your money for a number of reasons. They will help to improve your home’s energy efficiency, and they contribute to increased market value for your home.
